This is a useful way to do something with the file folders you collected in the ‘80s and ‘90s.
It should look something like this when you’re done:
- Think of something to say. Write or draw it on a standard-size piece of paper. Or type this on your computer using large type - 24pt to 40pt depending on how much you have to say.
- Print the page. Your margins should be at least 1” on the left & right sides and print the page using landscape mode.
- Trim an old file folder so it’s about 8.5”x10”. Trim the piece of paper so it's 10" long instead of 11". The length can vary depending on the length of the gallon plastic bag.
- Put the file folder & your sheet in a one gallon plastic bag so that the open edge is on the right. Be sure your page is on the clear plastic side - some plastic bags have their logo on one side of the bag.
- Fold the excess plastic on the right and tape it to the back of the plastic bag using packing tape. Fold over the excess plastic at the top but leave about an inch “margin” of plastic at the top. Do not tape the top.
- Find 2 long pins. Pin through the plastic margin on the top and one strap of your knapsack. Pin the other side on the other strap. The sign should be high up towards your shoulders.
It should look something like this when you’re done:
Be careful, be loud, but don't do damage like the #MAGAts and their fellow travelers on January 6, 2021. While we should be protesting our incredibly bad government, we should not be insurrectionists. People who live in the LA area said the federal government has been lying about resister protests which were mostly peaceful. Down with Trump's vanity parade and his Big Bad Bill which transfers trillions to already rich white men.
